We have always laughed that my mom finds the hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Some of them have worked out for us and some of the have not. (Dad, Mom, and Melissa: do you remember the restaurant in Trinidad, CO...home of the sex change hospital.) Well, Justin says that I am my mother and I proved it today. We stopped in Hobbs, NM for lunch at a great small barbecue pit. Tonight we ate in Carlsbad at Lucy's...amazing red chili.
We went to the Caverns this afternoon. We did about half of it today and will finish it tomorrow morning. It was so much fun to watch the boys get off the elevator 700 ft below the ground and walk into the cave. Granddad asked the boys to find out about stalagmites and Stalactites. We now know and so much more.
Justin loved taking pictures and there was a lot of time to take it all in. I couldn't help but sing the song "How great is our God." Don't you know when he created the caverns he thought "now they are going to love this." Yes, we do.
We are headed to White Sands tomorrow after finishing the caverns. Oh yeah mom, I have already picked out the local bakery for breakfast.

the boys look so grown up! Glad to see you dressed them warm. Remember our trip and our pictures with blue lips. Shorts and sleeveless shirts don't work in the caverns. Can't wait to take our kids.
